New Products - Middleton Lamp |
|
Historical note:  The lamp takes its name from the Middleton railway, one of the earliest tracks in England, which ran through the Pottery yard in the 18th century, carrying coal from Middleton Colliery to boats on the River Aire in Leeds.   It was the colliery manager, Richard Humble, who founded Leeds Pottery with his friend, Joshua Green, in 1770. |
